Alice had left school in a rush. It had been a stupidly long day and she was tired. But homework had to be done and she was supposed to meet her group partner for her history assignment for ice cream and getting work done. The other girl had left slightly earlier and was supposed to meet Alice there so when the girl walked in and saw no sign of her partner, she sighed and checked her phone. Sure enough, she'd been ditched for a boy. Alice sighed hard, stared around the shop and then wandered up the counter, ordering a cone with two scoops of mint before going to sit at a table by the window, scowling at her ice cream as she ate it, in a terrible mood.

travis had always had a thing for 'alternative' girls, when he was a senior for the second time last year he kept a close eye on alice. something about her just got to him, in the best way possible. but every time he'd try and approach her, she just seemed disconnected. and guess what happened. he graduated without getting a chance to tell her how he felt. today? travis had just been walking around, passing the ice cream shop before glancing into the window with a smile. there she was. he couldn't help but notice her miserable face, but it made him smirk. this was it, this was his second chance and getting to talk to alice. he walked in, ordering a chocolate milkshake before glancing over at her. "don't you go to jefferson?" really? that was his opening line?

Alice didn't have long to sit and brood before she heard the sound of someone speaking to her. Looking up from her ice cream, she started slightly at the sight of the guy. He was familiar and she could almost place him but not quite. Narrowing her eyes slightly, she nodded slowly. "Yeah, I do and you know that how?" Weird for someone to just come up and ask her something like that really. At least the guy was cute though, she supposed, though probably not all that interested in her.
